When Lightspeed is the better fit

Lightspeed keeps working offline, has 24/7 phone support and offers a marketplace of integrations. If those matter most to you, it may suit you better. Conciar suits restaurants that want reservations and rotas in the same system, their own payment provider and no long contract.

Frequently asked questions

Is Conciar cheaper than Lightspeed?

It depends on your setup. Lightspeed starts at €89 a month with one licence, and each extra tablet, handheld or kitchen screen costs €49 a month. Conciar's Starter plan is €99 a month for one location and three staff accounts, and Growth is €299. With Conciar you pay no extra fee for using your own payment provider, and reservations are included.

Do I have to use Conciar's payments?

No. Conciar has no payment service of its own: you connect your own Mollie or Buckaroo account, or keep your bank's card terminal. Conciar charges nothing on your payments.

Can I cancel my Lightspeed contract any time?

Check your order form. Lightspeed's service agreement (26 February 2026) says a contract renews automatically for the same term, that notice is due 90 days before the end of terms longer than 90 days, and that leaving early costs the remaining fees. Many restaurants plan the switch for the end of their term.

Can I keep my iPad?

Yes. The Conciar app runs on iPads, Android tablets and phones, so you can start on the devices you already have.

Does Conciar work offline?

Not yet. Conciar needs an internet connection, and offline mode is in development. Lightspeed does keep working offline, with limits.

Can I bring my menu and customers from Lightspeed?

Yes. Export them from the Lightspeed Back Office as CSV files and read them in with Conciar's import wizard, which has a ready-made option for Lightspeed.

Does Conciar work in Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire?

Yes. Conciar started in Curaçao, and restaurants on the islands can sell in Caribbean guilders, Aruban florins, US dollars or euros.

Is Conciar part of Lightspeed?

No. Conciar is an independent company and is not affiliated with Lightspeed Commerce Inc. Lightspeed is their trademark.
