When Lightspeed is the better fit

Lightspeed keeps working offline, takes dollar cash with change in your base currency, and has a partner on the island next to a 24/7 helpdesk. If those matter most to you, it may suit you better. Conciar suits restaurants that want guilders or dollars per store, reservations, rotas and beach QR ordering in one system, and no long contract.

Why island restaurants look at Conciar

Your own bank terminal

Keep the card terminal from your own bank: staff enter the card payment on the till, so your takings add up. Conciar takes no cut of your payments.

Beach, reservations and rotas in one system

QR ordering on every beach chair, online bookings on the floor plan, and shifts next to your sales, without separate subscriptions.

No long contract

Pay per month and stop when you want. Try Conciar free for 30 days first, without a credit card.

Questions to ask any POS supplier in Curaçao

Whichever system you choose, these are the answers that matter on the island. Ask them of us too.

  1. 1Is the till and fiscal printer combination approved by the SBAB?In Curaçao, businesses that sell food and drinks must print receipts on an SBAB-approved fiscal printer.
  2. 2Which currency do receipts show, and can I take dollar cash? Many guests pay in dollars. Check how change and the end-of-day cash count work in guilders and dollars.
  3. 3What keeps working when the internet drops?Ask which parts keep running, and whether card payments still go through.
  4. 4Can I keep the card terminal from my own bank? And ask whether the till sends the amount to the terminal, or whether staff type it in.
  5. 5How long is the contract, and what is the notice period?Automatic renewal and fees for leaving early are common. Read the order form before you sign.
  6. 6Who helps on a Saturday night?Ask for support hours in Curaçao time, not only in European or US hours.
