What do you pay for in a POS system?
These are the costs you will find with every POS system. Ask every provider about all four.
Software
Usually a fixed monthly fee for the till app, the menu, reports and updates. Check what the plan includes and what costs extra.
Hardware
A tablet or till, a card terminal, receipt printers and perhaps a self-order kiosk. You buy it once or lease it per month.
Transaction fees
Every card or contactless payment costs a small fee from the payment provider. With many orders a day, that adds up.
Installation and support
Setting up your menu and printers, and help when something goes wrong during service. Sometimes included, sometimes a separate cost.

Frequently asked questions
Can I take cash?
Yes. At the till you take cash, card or Apple Pay. At the self-order kiosk guests pay by card or contactless; anyone who wants to pay cash orders at the till.
Am I tied to a contract?
No. Your subscription can be cancelled monthly.
What if the self-order kiosk breaks?
The self-order kiosk comes with a 1-year warranty. If it stops working, contact us.
Which receipt printers can I use?
Network receipt printers that support ESC/POS, and Epson printers with Server Direct Print. For each station (kitchen, bar) you choose which printer gets the tickets.
How quickly can I go live?
